Cross Lake Mead’s teal waters and awe inspiring shorelines of Lake Mead as come closer to the canyon. Learn more about the largest reservoir in the United States when measured by capacity. Lake Mead is the largest man made lake in the country and was formulated by Hoover Dam. 112 miles long when full, this lake offers a home to several species of desert plants and animals that adapted and learned to survive in the harsh conditions of the region.
The closer you get to the Grand Canyon, the more fun you will have following this river’s winding path. At 1,450 miles long, there is nothing quite like it.
