Outdoor Fun

Las Vegas Motor Speedway

At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the options are endless. You can watch races, or even participate in your own races!  There’s also the Neon Garage, pure speed drag racing, track tours, and more. The adrenaline rush is also totally worth the sunburn you might get spending the day outside.

Aliante Nature Discovery Park

Aliante Nature Discovery Park, nicknamed Dinosaur Park, is a great place to bring the kids. There’s a dino sandbox, replicas of fossils to examine, giant dinosaurs to climb on, slides, and a water play park with splash pad. There are also creeks, bridges, duck ponds, a waterfall, and other delightful things to do.

Floyd Lamb Park

Floyd Lamb Park is a 680-acre park at Tule Springs, featuring wildlife, lakes, mountains, and more. It’s a great, green oasis in the urban dessert. With picnic areas, trails, volleyball courts, and more, there’s no way you’ll be bored.  You can fish, watch for birds and other wildlife, learn about the history of Floyd Lamb and Tule Springs Ranch, and more.

Broadacres Marketplace

Broadacres Marketplace is an outdoor venue that hosts a hodgepodge of vendors – from food to antiques to household appliances to clothes, you can find whatever you’re searching for at this outdoor extravaganza! There’s also a large stage featuring entertainers, such as live bands, and enormous HD screens which show sporting and other events. Food ranges from snacks to restaurants, including Mexican, BBQ, and more!

The Planetarium

The only public planetarium in Southern Nevada, the CSN Planetarium is a great indoor/outdoor activity for the whole family. There’s a 68-seat domed theater that shows night sky documentaries, an astronomy store, introductory astronomy classes, and more.  Also outside, enjoy a telescope viewing, where there’s nothing between you and the brilliant skies.
