Graceland Wedding Chapel is a little wedding chapel with a long history. The quaint building in Downtown Las Vegas was originally constructed as a home in 1927 before being converted into a wedding chapel in 1947 as quickie marriages (and divorces) rose to popularity in Nevada.

Hundreds of thousands of weddings have been performed at Graceland Wedding Chapel in the past 70 years, including celebrity weddings for Billy Ray Cyrus, Jon Bon Jovi, and Rob Zombie, just to name a few. This venue has also been featured in films like The Hangover and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Although Elvis Presley didn’t get married at Graceland Chapel—that honor goes to the former Aladdin Hotel, now the site of Planet Hollywood—according to the owners, he did make an unannounced appearance to tour the chapel in 1967. After his death in 1977, the little chapel previously known as the “Gretna Green Wedding Chapel” rebranded as Graceland Wedding Chapel in his honor and became the first chapel in the world to host Elvis impersonator weddings.
