The Durango Hills Golf Course has been rated as one of the best golf courses in Las Vegas and the top executive golf course in Las Vegas by local and national golfers in polls from Vegas Golfer Magazine and the Las Vegas Review Journal. The course is shorter than some executive golf courses but the design by Brian Curly and Lee Schmidt has kept the course in the top 10 golf courses in the Las Vegas area since the club opened in 2002

The Durango Hills Golf Course has an interesting mix of par par-3 and par-4 holes. All of the holes feature a lot of desert sand. Two holes have a water hazard and one is completely over the waters of the course lake.

The resident pro and numerous reviews from players recommend bringing a full bag of clubs because the undulating greens and the unique location of hazards bring much more challenge to the course than one would expect from a course where the holes range from 124 yards to 400 yards.

The view of Sheep, Snow, and Red Rock Mountains from the course adds to this golfing in Las Vegas experience. The average play time is between four and five hours and patrons are advised to book tees times in the early morning or the afternoon because the average temperatures are around 100 degrees during the day.

There is a dress code that requires collared shirts. Metal spikes are allowed and there can be no fivesomes. The staff has been rated by players as one of the most accommodating and friendly in Las Vegas. One of the unique offerings at the club is a nine-hole early tee time that includes breakfast from the Durango Grill.
