Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino

One of the great hotels in Downtown Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget Hotel is still the pride of Fremont Street.

This world renowned hotel and casino has seen it all. Their location has come a long way from its humble beginnings as an unpaved road. Now, it’s one of the most commonly photographed areas in the world. Throughout this time, the Golden Nugget has remained a standout. It shines as brightly as the 61 pound gold nugget on display in the casino’s interior.

There are 2,400 luxury rooms for guests to choose from. Downtown Las Vegas’ largest resort is only improving with age. Its most recent addition, the northwest end’s Rush Tower, only serves to provide more spacious and upscale rooms to guests.

Restaurants

The Golden Nugget has some of the town’s most celebrated dining options, such as Vic & Anthony’s. They have gourmet cuts and a delectable buffet that draws sizable crowds. Lillie’s Asian Cuisine provides Pan-Asian dining in a comfortable and contemporary atmosphere. Grotto offers the Italian trattoria feel with its regional wine list and Fellini inspired mural.

Cadillac Mexican Cantina and Tequila Bar offers a menu of classic favorites in addition to over 70 boutique tequilas. Those who are looking for sizable portions of American staples like burgers, ribs and more, are urged to visit Claim Jumper. Freshly caught seafood is served at Chart House, as diners gaze into a 75,000 gallon aquarium filled with tropical fish.

The Grotto and the Chart House both offer views of the hotel’s main attraction: The Tank. It’s a whopping 200,000 gallon aquarium that houses various marine creatures . There are several shark species, a variety of fish, and several southern stingrays.

The casino accommodates all styles of gambling, newcomer to veteran. Have money to burn? There are high limit slots with VIP services including a private cashier and lavish lounge. The poker room is partially enclosed and has 10 non smoking tables. It also features plush seating and daily Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments.

The Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas plays a major role in the world of poker and is featured on television series such as GSN’s “High Stakes Poker” and NBC’s “Poker After Dark”, which both film at the hotel.

When you need a respite from high stakes casino action, take a moment to settle in with a signature cocktail at the posh Rush Lounge or rejuvenate with a body treatment at the Spa and Salon.

Party animals can dance the night away with a breathtaking view of Fremont Street at Gold Diggers nightclub. Guests are also able to grab a drink at the outdoor/indoor Bar 46, which provides a great view of the Fremont Street Experience.

The Golden Nugget consistently receives the highest ratings each year from travel authorities such as Mobil and AAA and is the jewel of downtown Las Vegas. While the dazzling lights of the Fremont Street Experience may be mere steps away from this resort, The Golden Nugget remains its brightest attraction.
