Late Summer Date Ideas – Romantic to Adventurous

Las Vegas offers many options for lovers no matter how you define romance. The late summer season is full of endless opportunities for romance, especially in Las Vegas. Sin City has something for every couple to enjoy.

Following are some late summer date ideas:

1.     Explore the Fremont Street Experience

It’s simple, yet it can be so romantic. Exploring the Fremont Street Experience is a thrilling late summer date idea. The sounds, the lights, the people-watching – it all happens under the biggest video screen in the world. The LED light show plays at night and features the music of various genres. In between the light shows, you can enjoy the musicians, vendors, street performers, painters, cast of characters, and Fremont Street’s changing landscape just a little every night.

2.     Super Summer Theatre

You bring some cheese, a bottle of wine, the blanket, and other nibbles and Super Summer Theatre will provide the entertainment. Set inside Spring Mountain Ranch State Park on a meadow that is backed by rugged rock walls, this outdoor community theatre is a delight where you and your date will surely have lots of fun.

3.     Vegas Balloon Rides

Spend some time with your date on the Vegas Balloon Ride that will take you several hundred feet in the air so you and your date can enjoy the amazing bird’s eye view of the Strip, the incredible Red Rock Canyon, and more. The ride lasts about an hour and a champagne toast is also held after landing to celebrate completing a wonderful, romantic adventure. Dress in layers and be prepared for changes in temperatures, even if it is late summer season.

4.     The High Roller at the LINQ

The High Roller at the LINQ is the tallest observation wheel in the world. It is 555-feet high and is a great place for a date night stop. The views of the Las Vegas valley and the Strip are jaw-dropping. In a setting with such a panoramic view, you will find lots of opportunities for romantic moments. Further, the pods are air conditioned so you don’t have to worry about the temperature. The High Roller’s surrounding area, the Linq Promenade, is also worth exploring as it is filled with restaurants and shops.

5.     The Roller Coaster

If you are looking to have some adventurous fun with your date, then it is highly recommended that you take a ride on The Big Apple Roller Coaster. It is 180-feet tall and is a part of the Big Apple Arcade. This is the primary attraction at the New York New York Hotel. After enjoying the thrilling ride in and around the hotel, you can return to the rest of the arcade to challenge your date to a round of air hockey or Dance Dance Revolution.

6.     Eiffel Tower Experience

Paris Las Vegas’ Eiffel Tower Experience recreates the original landmark of Europe and it is just as romantic. The Eiffel Tower Experience has been the site of countless proposals over the years. You can enjoy a sweeping 360-degree view of the Vegas valley from the observation deck at any time of the day. However, we recommend that you visit at night for the best views.
