Whether you’re a little bit rock and roll or a little bit country, Donny and Marie Osmond will have you cutting a rug (or maybe even dancing in the aisles depending on the beverage you are consuming) with their feel good Las Vegas concert that unfolds over the course of 90 fun filled minutes.

Singing as an on stage duo for the first time since 1973, the brother and sister team hit the ground running as soon as they found their niche. While Donny first got his start by singing alongside of his six brothers in the The Osmonds and Marie had her first taste of solo success when her “Paper Roses” rendition rose to No. 1 on Billboard’s country music charts, the two would soon decide to join forces, launching their beloved ABC variety show, “Donny & Marie” in 1976.

The two continue to perform together and they still put every last bit of gusto in their show, reminding audiences of the charisma that allowed the dynamic duo to skyrocket into the realm of teen stardom.

This show aims to take audiences on a trip back to the days yesteryear, while also offering the popular hits of today. Since its 2008 opening at the Flamingo, their concert has entertained audiences of all ages with various energetic numbers, including “Knock on Wood,” “Get the Party Started,” “Dancing in the Streets,” and a brand new song, “Vegas Love,” a single off their latest album, the first they have recorded together in 30 years.

The formula of their popular 1970s television program remains intact, with their signature mix of dancing, humor and musical performances. The show also takes the time to highlight a few of their individual career moments, ensuring that there are no dull moments in the production.

When Marie receives her turn in the spotlight, “Paper Roses” is performed, in addition to many of her other country classics. From there, she slows it down for a moment or two, belting out an utterly flawless rendition of “Pie Jesu”. Things heat up quickly after that, with a mash up of “”These Boots Were Made for Walking” and “Walk This Way”.

Marie is also accompanied by a bevy of handsome male dancers and there are dazzling and elaborate costumes for the audience to enjoy.

Once Donny gets his turn to woo the audience member, the vibe is transformed for the duo member who was always thought to be a little bit rock and roll. The on stage fog is used to set the scene and he rocks the house with his performance of the 1989 comeback smash “Soldier of Love.”

Donny is also well known from his stint as a winner on “Dancing with the Stars” and he is more than happy to showcase some of these great moves and funky choreography with a roof raising performance of “Yo Yo”, as 1970s footage of him and his brothers dancing plays on the screen behind the stage.

While Donny loves to rock, his stirring love ballads are what made him a household name and he doesn’t let the longtime fans down, singing songs like “Puppy Love,” which are accompanied by delightful footage of teenage Donny.

As you might imagine, the women in the audience are more than happy to scream for their iconic hero and Donny loves the attention. Toward the end of the show, the brother and sister reunite and belt out their classic hits, such as “Morning Side of the Mountain,” “Make The World Go Away,” and “Deep Purple.”

With a 750 seat showroom, the Flamingo offers a perfectly intimate setting for Donny and Marie and great views are available from every seat in the house, allowing the brother and sister to interact with the audience and greet the fans.

Booths and tables are featured throughout the classic Vegas style room, adding to the feeling of nostalgia that the duo aims to evoke with their top notch show. Each performer has starred on Broadway and the show is closed with songs from “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “The Sound of Music,” “Wicked and more.

Donny and Marie have been pleasing discerning Las Vegas crowds since childhood and as they continue to sell out shows any time they perform, we suspect that they will continue to provide audiences with their money’s worth for years to come.
